2012 STARS AND STRIPES FESTIVAL

This year’s Stars and Stripes Festival, the 32nd annual, is scheduled for Saturday, July 21st. The theme is "Celebrate Our Community" - What makes our area a special place to live? We want everyone to know about all the wonderful civic and volunteer organizations doing great work!

The Stars and Stripes Festival Committee has been hard at work and would appreciate any and all help, especially on the day of the event. A lot happens in a short span of time, (the parade) and then things level off for an afternoon and evening of enjoyment. If you are interested in lending a hand with parade organizing, helping vendors in the park, checking in on the Park Dance throughout the evening or any other activities, please call the Chamber at (802) 626-9696 and let Cheryl know.

NEW BANNERS IN TOWN

Do you notice the Street Pole Banners in the Village that say Welcome to Lyndonville?  the Chamber believes it is time to give them a fresh face and to display our pride in the community with banners that reflect the Lyndon community and offer both residents and tourists alike a bright and cheerful welcome to our town.

There are three designs proposed at this time. The Bandstand Park banner will be hung from April to August; a fall theme will represent our Vermont foliage from September to November and a winter snowflake design will be used to represent the holiday/winter season and our Snowflake Festival from December to March. Designs could still change as it is a work in progress.

We are proud to have ATD Signs producing our banners and Sutton River Electrical hanging our banners. Keeping our spending dollars local is important to us all.
