Paid Sponsorship of the Downtown Wi-Fi
In August 2019, the Town of Lyndon along side the Lyndon Economic Development task force launched the Lyndon Public WiFi network. This network was setup to provide basic internet access for community members and tourists passing through Lyndon's village center. Since deploying the network, over 1000 unique users have accessed the network while at the Farmer's Market, visiting the Pop Up Art Gallery or just passing through town.
The network is accessible starting at the east side end of Depot Street by Asia Restaurant, all the way down to the Lyndon Municipal Building and across Bandstand Park to Parkway Realty. The Town of Lyndon's public WiFi network requires all users to authenticate through a custom landing page. Once a user has agreed to the terms and conditions they are taken to a "Thank You" page which will have a single advertising slot to highlight a Lyndon Chamber of Commerce Business.
All funds from the advertising will support the continued operation of the WiFi network for the community.
Free Advertising of Information in Information Booth
The Lyndon Area Welcome Center is open during the summer and fall each year. It is open and staffed by volunteers Thursday through Sunday during those months. Contact us to provide provide materials to be given out or displayed in the info booth.
