In addition to lots of fun activities happening daily in Lyndonville and Burke during the two week festival, the 2012 Snowflake Festival continues the tradition of TWO SPECIAL CONTESTS:

4th Annual Chowdah Fest
Lyndon Outing Club on Saturday, February 18th, 4-6 pm
Compete for cash prizes. Call Shirley Banks at 626-3833 for contest rules and to sign up! Come taste all the entries for only $5. Benefit: Lyndon Outing Club

Winter in the Kingdom Photo Contest
One entry per person. First prize to be awarded for Adult (15 and Up) and Child (14 and Under). Color or black and white. Call Image North Photography for details 626-9600. Entries must be in by 2/24/2012 for judging.

*** UPDATES TO THE PRINTED SNOWFLAKE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Sat, 2/25 – No cardboard races at the Lyndon Outting Club.
Sat, 3/3 – Outting Club Spaghetti Supper is from 4 to 6pm with the torchlight skiing at 7pm. Skiing is 6pm to 9pm as well.
Sun, 3/4 – Outting Club Hill Climb starts at 11am, $5 for spectators age 10 and up. See www.skilyndon.com for details.

NEW ADDITON: 4 kilometer Citizens Cross Country Ski Races, February 12, 19, and 26, 3:00 at Kingdom Trails, Dashney Road, East Burke. $5.00 entry.

ICE TIME AT THE FENTON CHESTER ARENA

The Fenton Chester Arena has extended the ice season, and ice time is available from now until March 11th. In the past, businesses have rented ice time and allowed their employees and families to have a couple of hours of fun on the ice-a special benefit. Some businesses have paid for the time and let the Arena advertise it as free public skating sponsored by that organization. In such cases, the Arena has posted a notice of the sponsor's name on the entry way bulletin board.

Discount Rate March 5th - March 11th: $125.00 per hour
.Please call the Fenton Chester Ice Arena at 802.626.9361 if you or your group would like to schedule ice time.

UPCOMING MEETINGS

The Lyndon Area Chamber of Commerce holds monthly meetings at the Cobleigh Library and at other locations around town. Meeting times and locations are posted in our monthly newsletter, which is mailed and emailed to members the week prior to the monthly meeting. We encourage members to join us for our meetings, and to keep us posted on events so we can add them to this website. Businesses and individuals who are interested in becoming members of the Lyndon Area Chamber of Commerce should call the Chamber at 802-626-9696 to request a membership registration form, or email us at info@lyndonvermont.com and we will mail one out to you.

Our February chamber meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 21 at 1 pm at the Cobleigh Library. Lunch is on us!

Our March chamber meeting will be held on Tuesday March 20th at 1pm. Location TBD.
