VT CHAMBER OUTLINES HEALTH CARE REFORM

Betsy Bishop, President of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, is spreading the word about the Chamber's work at the Legislature this session regarding health care.  Their latest press release - Senate Health Care Bill Allows Greater Choice - outlines their work. They have also provided a downloadable informational PDF for LACC members who may have questions regarding the new health care reform.

LACC MEMBERSHIP YEAR BEGINS

The Lyndon Area Chamber Membership year is October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012. During that year, we hope to be even more active while continuing the many initiatives that were started in 2010! Please note when you receive your mailing that there is NO INCREASE in membership dues! The brochure (downloadable below) outlines some of the many benefits of chamber membership. UPCOMING MEETINGS

The Lyndon Area Chamber of Commerce holds monthly meetings at the Cobleigh Library and at other locations around town. Meeting times and locations are posted in our monthly newsletter, which is mailed and emailed to members the week prior to the monthly meeting. We encourage members to join us for our meetings, and to keep us posted on events so we can add them to this website. Businesses and individuals who are interested in becoming members of the Lyndon Area Chamber of Commerce should call the Chamber at 802-626-9696 to request a membership registration form, or email us at info@lyndonvermont.com and we will mail one out to you.

NEW VACE INSURANCE CARRIER AND RATE STABILITY IN 2012

VACE insurance and the Lyndon Area Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the negotiation of an unprecedented two-year agreement with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont (BCBSVT) to provide health insurance coverage to businesses insured through the VACE program beginning on January 1, 2012. The agreement provides VACE members with the benefits of coverage currently in place through the state’s only locally-based health insurer. Most importantly, it assures protection from premium increases, maintaining current premium levels for another full year and limiting increases in 2013 (pending regulatory approval). Until the end of 2011, VACE will continue to use CIGNA as its provider for all enrolled Chamber members.
